Thank you so much for working with me, Emma Townsin, at Food Life Freedom. This document contains some legal information you need to be aware of before we start. This document covers the entirety of time we work together including any consultations and online courses.

Nutrition Counselling Consultations

I understand private 1-to-1 nutrition counselling consultations are through Food Life Freedom with Emma Townsin who is a UK Registered Dietitian (HCPC: DT28209) and a Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor. I understand that should any legal proceedings arise from our work together, this will be managed under UK law and through UK courts.

I understand results are not guaranteed and I am responsible for doing the work following our consultations to see change. I do not hold Food Life Freedom or Emma Townsin accountable for any changes I see/ do not see from our consultations.

I understand I may require additional support from a medical professional or therapist and am agreeable to seeking this support if recommended to continue working with Emma Townsin.

I understand that our sessions together are conducted online via zoom video conferencing software, a GDPR compliant platform. By continuing I agree to zoom's privacy information.

Course lessons and resources

I understand that the lessons and resources inside courses and/or any resources provided are for general use and not specifically tailored to my individual needs. They do not replace medical, psychiatric or other professional individual advice.

I understand the resources and lessons are purcahsed for my sole use and cannot be redistributed, shared or sold without prior permission from Emma Townsin.

I understand that I am responsible for assessing the suitablity of this course with my unique needs and do not hold Food Life Freedom or Emma Townsin accountable if the course is not the right fit for me including but not limited to if I have an eating disorder, past trauma or mental illness that deems this course inappropriate.

I understand I am responsible for the progress I make from this course and the benefits I get from the course. I do not hold Food Life Freedom or Emma Townsin accountable for any changes I see/ do not see from the course work.

Fees and refund policy

I understand that in a situation where the course is deemed inappropriate for my medical or mental health needs, I can contact Emma Townsin via email within 14 days of purchase for a refund (minus card prossessing fees) or transfer to another course. In this case I will lose access to all course information. After that time, the course is non-refundable.

If you have pre-booked consulations (as part of a course or on their own), they are refundable (minus card processing fees) until 48 hours before your first scheduled appointment only. After that, consultation packages are non-refundable unless deemed unsuitable for your needs following the first session. You may reschedule or change appointment times as per below.

Cancellations, Rescheduling and Termination

I understand that all single consultations must be paid in advance at the time of booking and packages are paid at the time of purchase. A full refund can only be issued with at least 48 hours notice before the appointment time, or for packages, the first appointment time. No refund can be offered for cancellations within 48 hours.

Rescheduling of sessions (individual or pre-booked) is available up to 24 hours in advance. Cancelling or rescheduling of sessions within 24 hours or failing to attend a session will result in being charged for the entirety of the session.

I understand that all sessions start on time. Late attendances will be able to use the remainder of the session time but will not be able to make up the time. All late sessions will be required to pay for the full session.

If you would like to terminate support for any reason you are able to do so. Please be aware if you fail to make contact or I have reason to be concerned for your or other's safety, I may write to your GP to let them know this support has been terminated.

I understand Emma Townsin will do everything possible to ensure the appointments run on time and as planned, however if for reasons outside of personal control such as illness or technical issues, Emma Townsin may need to cancel an appointment at short notice and I will not hold Emma Townsin responsible. I understand in this instance I can reschedule my session.
